Patricia E. Sabosik is President of Elm City Consulting, LLC, a firm specializing in digital content and product strategy, pricing, analytics, and global go-to-market solutions for B2B information companies.  Elm City's consulting focus is at the intersection of product, sales, and operations to help clients execute strategy and realize growth. Pat is an information industry executive with more than 20 years' experience managing startup organizations and launching new brands for Fortune 1000 companies.  Prior to starting her own consulting business, Pat held product management, business development, and corporate strategy positions in leading information companies. 

As Senior Director of Product Strategy for Gartner, she led the development of a collaboration product suite and a social networking service for IT executives and worked with a global sales force to price, position, and bring these products to market. She holds a patent in search algorithms for Gartner Peer Connect.  Pat was Vice President and General Manager for Thomson Learning where she headed the Learning Labs, a new venture responsible for market assessment, applied research and strategic product development in online courseware. After Thomson announced the sale of the Learning division, Pat worked with Apax Partners as a consultant on the acquisition of  the Thomson Learning business.

Prior to joining Thomson Pat held senior management positions in large media and publishing firms. She was Vice President and Director of Global Marketing for Factiva, a Dow Jones and Reuters joint venture where she directed a global team responsible for marketing strategy, pricing, channel development, and sales strategy. As Executive Vice President for Reed Elsevier's Electronic Publishing Division, she was responsible for strategic digital product development for Elesvier's digital platform and launched the ScienceDirect business. As the first General Manager of Elsevier's ScienceDirect , she and her team executed e-commerce, journal linking/CrossRef, licensing, and distribution initiatives that positioned Elsevier for digital growth.

Before her Elsevier post, Pat held business development and product management positions at America Online, directing AOL's consumer digital imaging strategy. She was Publisher of CHOICE Magazine, a book and media publication of the Association of College and Research Libraries. Pat is on the Board of Directors for Stevens Institute of Technology's Web Campus. She holds a BA in English Literature from Kean College of NJ, an MBA from Seton Hall University, and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Finance from Fairfield University.
